Join UsWe have an ongoing recruitment process to find outstanding and committed professional linguists, and we welcome enquiries from qualified interpreters and translators. At all times, our linguists are asked to adhere to a strict code of ethics, emphasising impartiality and confidentiality. All linguists are also expected to participate fully in professional development. To meet our minimum requirements for linguists you would need to fulfil any of the following three conditions:
Together with specialist knowledge gained either 1-2 years in-house experience or at least 3-5 years experience as a professional freelance. All linguists should be highly motivated and understand the disciplines associated with remote working. Working without supervision, using initiative to solve problems and having an organised working environment are crucial aspects of freelance working. If you are successful in your application, you will receive support from T & I Services (UK) Ltd in the form of training, glossaries and customer briefings on CD-ROM/Websites. Ultimately it will be the responsibility of the linguist to ensure that they have read and understood all the information required to successfully process a project. As mentioned above, linguists working for T & I Services (UK) Ltd, will do so on a freelance basis. Therefore, it is necessary to be registered as self-employed and be responsible for making your own arrangements for tax and national insurance deductions. All subcontractors are paid at the end of the following month after receipt of invoice.
